The Eternal Abyss currently exposes a verified root place and three named branch places: Pit of Misery, Timeless Manor, and Starry Night. Roblox’s official place API confirms those identities inside Universe 5488708927. Portal routes, unlock conditions, lobby layouts, and tower rosters are not supplied by that API, so this guide separates official place identity from dated community navigation.
Area Dex
Main Area
The place where players join. Community records describe a swamp-like central hub with tower portals and links to the three released branches.
Pit of Misery
A dark branch with a changing hard-tower roster. Community access reports disagree on exact completion requirements, so the live portal decides.
Timeless Manor
A branch centered on older or intentionally classic-style towers, with a large haunted-manor lobby in current community documentation.
Starry Night
The newest documented released branch and the lowest-difficulty area by the checked community snapshot, including SoEA and ToRM.
The official place inventory also returned a place named Hell. Public information does not safely establish whether that place is the same thing as the community’s unreleased Nil area, whether it is accessible, or what scope it currently has. It is therefore not presented as a playable area or given a route here.
Choose an area by what you want to do
Stay in the Main Area when you are learning how the lobby, difficulty chart, portal warnings, and tower entries work. It contains Tower of Naive Facades, the documented Easy exception, as well as much harder projects. The main area is also the safest point from which to confirm current branch portals.
Choose Starry Night when you already have strong tower-obby fundamentals and want the community’s lowest current Soul-Crushing options. Steeple of Esoteric Arcane and Tower of Reddish Monolith are repeatedly discussed as first-SC projects, but they remain Insane-level community entries rather than beginner Roblox obbies.
Choose Timeless Manor if you want classic construction, older design language, and a large exploratory lobby. Choose Pit of Misery for a dark, high-difficulty branch with a long history of roster additions and moves. Neither branch should be entered based on an old unlock claim without checking the live portal.
Read the portal before entering
The most reliable navigation sequence is: join the official root place, locate the current labeled branch portal, read any requirement or warning shown by the game, and only then enter. If a portal is boarded, hidden, event-gated, or silent, do not assume a route from an earlier video remains valid.
Use difficulty charts as local maps
Each area organizes towers around a difficulty chart or portal layout. Read the chart as a snapshot of the current server, not a permanent site map. Community history shows that the main lobby was revamped and towers have moved between areas. A current chart label is stronger evidence than a two-year-old screenshot.
In a Personal Server, the official gamepass description says clicking difficulty-chart labels can teleport you to towers. That is a paid convenience and should not be confused with normal public-server navigation. Check Personal Servers before purchasing and verify the current price at Roblox checkout.
Keep area rosters dated
Community snapshots list dozens of towers per area, but their totals can disagree even when both sources are sincere. One page may update after a move while another still reflects the earlier layout. Counts can also include upcoming or temporarily removed entries.
Use the Tower List for a documented selection with status notes. At the live chart, confirm the tower name, current difficulty, warning, and accessibility. Do not infer that every official badge has a current portal in one of these four areas.
Plan travel around practice
Before leaving the main area, decide whether you are scouting or grinding. During a scouting trip, locate the chart, return route, practice access, and two possible towers. During a grind session, enter with one chosen tower and a specific segment plan so lobby exploration does not consume your practice time.
If a branch uses different settings or Practice Mode behavior, verify that before a high-risk attempt. Community update records historically note differences between areas, and not every control change necessarily reached every place at the same time.
When playing with friends, agree on the destination and return route before entering a portal. That small check prevents the group from splitting across similarly presented lobbies or outdated server instances.
Areas FAQ
How many released areas are there?
Official Roblox data confirms the root place plus Pit of Misery, Timeless Manor, and Starry Night. Those four are the playable area set covered here. A fifth place named Hell exists in the API but is not treated as released.
Which area is easiest?
The checked community page calls Starry Night the easiest area, with a range beginning at Insane. That is still extremely difficult for ordinary Roblox obby players and should be checked against the live chart.
Where do I start?
You join the Main Area. Use it to learn the chart and find current branch portals before choosing a tower.
